Hi! They definitely are. I've had to modify our routine quite a lot over the years, and we don't follow a timed schedule. But we do have a usual routine of what we study first, next, and so on. It really makes a difference when the kids know what to expect.

Thank you for visiting! :)

This is great! Routines are so important for every age and for every child. As a former teacher, this is something that was taught to us and something that I've seen work time and time again. Your three tips are awesome! Thanks so much for sharing with the #SHINEbloghop! :)

These are great tips! I know a routine, even if it is a rather loose one, helps my family tremendously. It's good for all of us to know what's coming next and what to expect.

A routine is a must for me in my home if I want to get everything done. Our major problem is our little guy's sleep pattern (mainly caused by his father who he stays up late with to watch movies). So needless to say, my kiddos sleep in. However, when I was home with them for a time while in between jobs, they begged me not to wake them up early. They wanted to stay on their original schedule (go figure). So having a routine helps to keep everyone in the 'know' and calm in our home. It took us awhile to find one that worked for all of us, but it makes a big difference.
