How to Use the Spanish Arctic Animal Flashcards

This resource includes a teaching script, which is handy for introducing this topic in class.

Since these cards come with a pronunciation guide, you can introduce the animal names one at a time with correct pronunciation.

You might choose to print the chart and read each English and Spanish winter animal name aloud. Be sure to have students repeat each one after you.

The picture matching cards are perfect for pre-readers and ELL students!

Print the vocabulary flashcards two-sided for a simple review activity at centers!

And the labeling cards are a fun way to practice recognizing each animal name (in both languages)!

You can make this into a reusable activity by adding hook and loop adhesive coins to the back of the labels for matching over and over again.

Or laminate the cards and let students write the animal names on them. Then just wipe clean when they’re done!
