Printable Owl Number Matching Game for Kids

We’ve been on a bit of an owl kick lately. But it’s the right time of year for it!

As the days get shorter and the sun sets earlier in the evening, we’re starting to hear owls hooting more often in our area. We don’t get to see them in flight much, though.

So we’re exploring more about these winged flyers every way we can, including this fun owl number matching game!

I thought this quick early math activity would be a great addition to our Subscriber Library so that you all can get it for free!

This simple number game would be excellent at fall math centers! Just print out the cards and let kids practice matching them up. 

It’s also perfect for a busy bag activity when you’re on the go with the kids.

Printable Owl Number Matching Game for Kids

To use this printable owl number matching game, you’ll need the following: (This post contains affiliate links. For details, see our Disclosure Policy.)

• Printer (with ink)
• Patterned cardstock (so the cards won’t be see through)
• Scissors
• Laminator (optional)

This is truly a low-prep early math activity. 

Just print out the cards, cut them into squares, and you’re finished!

This number game is versatile too!

If your students are practicing counting skills, use the owl picture cards to show objects from one to ten.

Then add the number cards in so that kids can practice matching them up.

But if your students are working on reading number words, you can let them match up the object cards to the number words.

Or challenge them to match up all three for a real math skill builder!

Tip: If you plan to use these at centers, you’ll probably want to laminate them so they’ll stand up to frequent use.
